Coming up with Halloween games for your spooky party can be a little challenging, so we thought we'd take the guess work out of it for you! Add our delicious halloween cake pops or other customized treat to the party and you'll be sure to have a happy crowd!
Dead Man's Belly
You will need:
- some green or red jelly
- plastic spiders and other creepy crawlies
- halloween sweets such as jelly snakes
- blindfold

Spooky Scavenger Hunt
You will need:
- suitably scary decor
- items to hide
Dress the room the treasure hunt will be taking place in with Halloween-style decorations. You could make cardboard stand-up gravestones, paper spider-webs and attach cut-out bats to the ceiling. Then simply hide various goodies around the room for the kids to find.
Dress the Mummy
You will need:
- a big supply of toilet paper or kitchen towel!
Split the party guests into groups no smaller than two and give them a substantial supply of toilet paper. The object of the game is to try and turn one of the group into a mummy by wrapping them entirely in the loo roll! Prizes go to the quickest or the best attempt.
Sleeping Monsters
A 'dead' (excuse the pun!) easy take on the party game standard and a great one to calm the kids down if they're getting a little over excited! Everyone - the 'monsters' - lies down on the floor.
When somebody moves they're out until only one player remains.
Brain Digging
You will need:
- a big bowl of cooked spaghetti
- some ping-pong balls or similar
- some small bags of sweets
Get the kids to dig in amongst some bits of 'brain' to find a trick or treat! Cook up a big pan of spaghetti, leave to cool for a moment and then turn into a big bowl. In amongst the pasta hide some ping-pong balls or similar. Three balls have 'treat' written on them, and three have 'trick' written on them. Each child gets a turn to dig inside the 'brains' and pull out a ball. If they choose a trick ball they have to do a forfeit (something silly, like run around the garden twice, or do a silly face), but if they pick a treat they get a small prize, such as a small bag of sweets. {Thanks to NetMums for these great games!}
We hope this year's halloween is full of silly tricks and delicious treats. Of course, the 'treat' part is our specialty at Ontario Bakery. Be sure to call us and let us know how we can personalize your party needs!
